When I first met Neil and Vanessa I knew I would enjoy working with them. They were both beautiful, smart and kept me laughing the whole engagement session. Neil told me his whole engagement proposal to Vanessa and it portrays perfectly, the love he has for her.
THE PROPOSAL – He talked her into going to the movie theatre to pick up a friends jacket they “forgot” and as they walked into the theatre the whole room was dark and littered in hundreds of candles.. and a movie that he had been working for months showed up on the big screen. Photos of them over the past circulated past the screen and then he got down on one knee. How Romantic!!
I knew I was in for a treat when it came to their wedding day. Not only did they hire my favourite wedding planning company RSVP Event Design, they also picked one of my favourite venues.. The Sheraton Cavalier. Their facility, staff, and food are all amazing.
The big day came June 18th, 2016. It began with the Baraat outside the hotel.. the group danced all the way down the hall into the room where they had their Indian ceremony. I have come to learn there is never a dull moment in these ceremonies.. there is always rose petals being thrown at the couple or they are being fed, or given jewellery.. It is always one of my favourite parts of the event.
Then came the north american ceremony.. The ladies & gentlemen went back up stairs for an outfit change and then we were off to the United Knox Church, just down the street. It is such a beautiful old church full of character.
It was a gorgeous day for photos and a last minute stop for ice-cream at the red bus
Then it was off to the Reception. As you walked into the room it glowed purple with gold accents, gold chivari chairs, & beautiful floral centrepieces. Dinner was awesome, speeches had everyone smiling and laughing, Vanessa’s dads songs were unforgettable (I think if he wasn’t already a Doctor maybe he could become a performer as well), and then for the first dance. The couple planned it perfectly with their Dj, Armed with Harmony. Then for the surprise events for Vanessa. Neil never ceases to amaze me with all his witty plans.. Him and his groomsmen put on this absolutely amazingly choreographed dance for Vanessa.. then some friends put on a skit for them that had everyone falling over with laughter.. All I can say is I Hope someone made a video of that because it was so brilliant!
The day was flawlessly perfect..
Congratulations you two!!
Enjoy the sneak
